Whatever the circumstances, these issues can have serious, debilitating effects. Tazwood Mental Health Center Inc. offers a variety of behavioral health services to address such concerns.

Tazwood provides a comprehensive spectrum of mental health and substance abuse services. We offer numerous specialized programs to serve the varied and complex needs of individuals, couples, and families.

TAZWOOD PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Tazwood provides an extensive continuum of outpatient services to address mental health and substance abuse issues.

Our services include:

■ Individual psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and children

■ Family and group therapy

■ Psychological testing

■ Psychiatry services, including medication management and monitoring

Our clinical staff includes professionals with training and licensure in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, counseling, and social work. Tazwood also employs certified addiction counselors, as well as numerous other mental health professionals with various types of specialized training. Additionally, our staff includes a team of registered nurses.

Never give up on those who have a mental illness or a substance abuse problem.  It is our belief that those with a mental illness problem or a substance abuse problem, can and do become productive citizens with the proper treatment.  We at Tazwood pride ourselves in treating consumers as if they are family.

Licensing & Accreditation

Tazwood Mental Health Center, Inc. programs are licensed by the Department of Human Services and the Department of Health, certified by the Department of Public Aid (Medicaid), and accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Funding for some programs is provided in full or in part by the Department of Human Services, Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.

On March 7th-9th 2006,  Tazwood Mental Health Center participated in an unannounced survey by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations of its facilities and programs, and earned full accreditation status.
